OSD menus are output in 480i and have a more "blocky" look to them. You will need to check your owner's manual to verify if your model has a GUI based menu or an OSD (On Screen Display) menu system. Most new or current models will have a GUI (Graphic User Interface) menu which is normally output in 480p and has a cleaner look. For this, simply configure the switches to "Main" and "Main/TV" or make sure that both switches are pushed over all the way to the left. There are also some older Denon remotes that operate using slide switches. This puts the remote in AMP mode and allows you full control of the receiver. If you have an older Denon remote, please make sure that "AMP" is selected. Also, please make sure when using your Denon remote you're set to control the Main Zone (M) by using the Zone Select button. Most new or current models will output an OSD or GUI with only an HDMI connection output to the TV, but refer to your owner's manual if you have an older model to see what cable connections are needed to output the OSD or GUI to your TV or projector. Please make sure you have a video output connection (Monitor Out) from the receiver to the TV or projector's video input.
